Adrian Hallam Naturopath

"When you've tried everything and nothing has worked. When no one has been able to uncover what's actually going on".
Something is wrong. Your bloods are normal. Your GP says you're fine.
But you're exhausted, foggy, and barely recognising yourself.
You're not imagining it. And you're not out of options.
If you're carrying fatigue that sleep doesn't fix, weight that won't shift no matter what you do, brain fog that's affecting your work, and a body that feels like it's working against you - and you've been through the conventional system without real answers - this is where that changes.
But you know your body. And you know something has shifted.
The fatigue isn't normal tiredness. The brain fog isn't just being busy. The weight gain doesn't make sense given how carefully you eat. The mood changes aren't just stress.
There is a reason. There is always a reason - a true cause. And finding it is exactly what I do.
I work with men and women navigating chronic, complex health problems that the conventional system has failed to resolve. Not managed. Not explained away. Actually resolved.

What Makes This Different
This isn’t symptom management. It’s root cause diagnosis.
Most practitioners - whether conventional or natural - are working within a system that addresses symptoms. A diagnosis is made, a treatment is prescribed, and if it doesn’t work, you try something else.
What I do is different.
After 30 years of clinical practice across naturopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition, kinesiology and personal training, I approach every case as a diagnostic puzzle. I’m not looking for the most likely answer. I’m looking for *your* answer - the specific combination of factors driving your specific symptoms.
That means deep clinical questioning. Functional testing where appropriate. Pattern recognition built across decades of complex cases. And the time to actually listen to what your body has been trying to tell you.
The result is a clear, evidence-based plan that addresses what’s actually wrong - not what’s statistically most common.

Who I Work With

I specialise in men and women who are done being dismissed.
The majority of my clinical work is with women in perimenopause and menopause,  navigating fatigue, hormonal disruption, weight changes, brain fog, and a growing sense that they're not being taken seriously by the system.
Many arrive having already tried HRT, antidepressants, or thyroid medication - sometimes all three - without resolution. Not because those treatments are always wrong, but because they were prescribed without identifying the true underlying driver.
I also work with men. The presentation is different — low energy, declining performance, weight accumulation, mental flatness, libido changes — but the failure point is identical. Symptoms treated in isolation. Root cause never investigated. A quiet sense that something is off that nobody seems to take seriously.
The common thread isn't gender. It's complexity that the conventional system doesn't have the time or tools to untangle.

Common root causes I investigate and treat include:
- Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation - a frequently missed driver of fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, and mood disruption in perimenopausal women
- Adrenal dysfunction and HPA axis dysregulation
- All men's health challenges
- Mitochondrial insufficiency
- Gut dysbiosis and impaired detoxification
- True hormonal imbalance - estrogen dominance, progesterone insufficiency, and cortisol dysregulation
If you’ve been told your results are normal and you still feel unwell, one of these is very likely at the root of it.

Patient Story (Jennifer, 48, HR executive, mum of three)

What finding the real answer actually looks like.
Jennifer came to see me at 48. A professional woman. Three children. She was exhausted in every possible way - fatigue that didn’t lift, weight that wouldn’t move, brain fog that was affecting her work, and mood swings that were changing her relationships and her sense of self.
She had already been to her GP and two specialists. She left those appointments with three prescriptions: antidepressants, thyroxine, and HRT.
Three diagnoses. Three medications. No improvement.
When I assessed Jennifer - using detailed clinical history, functional testing, and applied kinesiology - a completely different picture emerged.
She didn’t have clinical depression. She didn’t have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. And her hormones weren’t the primary driver of her symptoms.
What she had was a reactivation of Epstein-Barr virus - the same virus that causes glandular fever - that had crossed her blood-brain barrier and was systematically disrupting her thyroid, her adrenals, her mood regulation, and her metabolism.

Completely different problem. Completely different solution.
Over the course of our work together, her thyroid function recovered naturally. The viral load was addressed. Her adrenals were rebuilt - and as a direct result, the weight began shifting without extreme dietary restriction. Her brain fog cleared. Her energy returned.
Jennifer didn’t need antidepressants. She needed the right diagnosis.
“I finally feel like myself again. For the first time in seven years, I actually believe I can get better.”
Patient Story (Roger, 58, Truck driver, father of 3)
Roger came to me at 58 feeling like he'd aged a decade in two years.
His GP had him on medication for high blood pressure. The erectile dysfunction had started quietly - easy to explain away at first - but had become impossible to ignore. He'd mentioned it once at a routine appointment. Was told it was probably stress, possibly age, and offered a script for a PDE5 inhibitor.
He didn't fill it.
What Roger actually wanted to know was why. Why was his blood pressure elevated when he ate well and wasn't significantly overweight? Why had his energy collapsed? Why did he feel like a diminished version of himself when nothing on paper explained it?
When I assessed him properly, the picture became clearer. Chronic sleep disruption he'd normalised over years. Cortisol dysregulation driving both the cardiovascular load and the hormonal suppression downstream. Testosterone in the low-normal range - technically fine, functionally insufficient. Inflammatory markers nobody had thought to connect to anything.
None of it was complicated once you looked at the whole picture. All of it had been missed because nobody had looked at the whole picture.
We worked on the upstream drivers. Sleep architecture. Nervous system regulation. Nutritional gaps affecting vascular function and hormone synthesis. Within four months Roger's blood pressure had reduced meaningfully, his energy had returned, and the erectile dysfunction had resolved without medication.
He told me the thing that stayed with me: "I thought that was just what getting older felt like."
It isn't. It's what being uninvestigated feels like.
About Adrian

Over 3 decades of practice, of helping patients heal. One focus: finding the True Cause of poor health and fixing it.
I’m Adrian Hallam - diagnostic naturopath, herbalist, nutritionist, kinesiologist and personal trainer based in Warrnambool with an online practice serving women and men across Australia.
My qualifications span a Bachelor of Education in Science and Physical Education, Advanced Diplomas in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Nutrition, and Diplomas in Bowen Therapy, Personal Training and Applied Kinesiology - underpinned by nearly three decades of clinical practice across complex, unresolved cases.
I’ve also experienced serious chronic illness myself. That lived experience shapes how I listen, how I investigate, and how seriously I take it when a patient tells me something is wrong - even when the standard tests say otherwise.
I work with a small number of patients at any one time to maintain the clinical depth each case requires.

How It Works
A clear process. No guesswork.
Clinical Consultation - 60 minutes
A thorough, unhurried clinical assessment. I take your full health history, investigate your symptom pattern, identify the most likely root causes, and where appropriate, recommend functional testing to confirm findings. You leave with a clear picture of what’s driving your symptoms and a structured treatment plan.
Investment: $167

Ready to find out what’s actually going on?

Review - Rachel, mum of 2, Lawyer.
“Adrian’s approach completely changed my understanding of what was happening in my body. For years I’d been told my results were normal. Within two consultations, he had identified the real issue - and within three months, I was a different person. I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

One last word
The woman you were before all of this - she’s still there.

Fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, hormonal chaos - these are symptoms, not your new normal. They have causes. And causes can be addressed.
If you’re ready to stop managing and start actually getting better, the first step is a consultation.

🌿 Tracey, 53 - Menopause, migraines, and getting her life back
Tracey had reached a point where she felt like her body was working against her. At 53, in the thick of menopause, she was battling weekly migraines, waves of nausea, light sensitivity, and broken sleep that left her exhausted before the day even began. She kept pushing through - work, family, responsibilities - but underneath it all she felt like she was slowly losing her resilience.
During her initial assessment, we explored her full health history and ran targeted functional testing. The results revealed a combination of nutrient insufficiencies and gut imbalance, both of which can amplify migraine frequency and worsen menopausal symptoms.
Together, we built a plan that felt achievable and supportive rather than overwhelming. Tracey began a targeted magnesium and B‑complex protocol, paired with a gut‑supportive nutrition framework that stabilised her digestion and energy. We layered in simple but powerful lifestyle shifts: consistent hydration rhythms, a personalised sleep‑wind‑down routine, and stress‑regulation strategies she could use anywhere - even at work.
Within three months, Tracey noticed a profound shift. Her migraines dropped from weekly to only occasional. Her sleep became deeper and more restorative. Her energy felt steadier throughout the day, and she described feeling “more like myself again” - clearer, calmer, and back in control of her wellbeing.
Tracey now moves through her days with confidence, knowing her body is no longer dictating the terms. She calls this chapter her “second wind” - and she earned every bit of it.
🌿 Michelle, 48 - Weight gain, exhaustion, and losing herself as a mum of 3
Michelle came to me feeling defeated. At 48, juggling three kids, work, and a household, she felt like her body had changed overnight. The weight kept creeping up, her clothes didn’t fit, and no matter how “healthy” she tried to be, nothing shifted. She described feeling puffy, tired, and constantly behind on her own life.
During her assessment, we uncovered the deeper drivers: hormonal shifts, stress load, disrupted sleep, and nutrient insufficiencies that were slowing her metabolism and draining her energy.
We rebuilt her foundations gently - stabilising her meals, supporting her hormones, improving her sleep rhythm, and giving her a structure that worked with her busy life rather than against it.
Within weeks, her energy lifted. Within months, her body composition started changing. She felt clearer, lighter, and more capable. She told me, “I finally feel like I’m back in my own skin again.”
Michelle now moves through her days with confidence - not chasing her health, but owning it.
🌿 Tamara, 42 - Endometriosis after 25 years of fighting her own body
Tamara had been battling endometriosis since she was a teenager. By 42, she was exhausted - physically, emotionally, and mentally. The pain, the bloating, the flare‑ups, the unpredictability… it had shaped her entire adult life.
She came to me wanting one thing: relief that actually lasted.
We took a whole‑system approach, looking at inflammation patterns, gut health, nutrient status, stress physiology, and the hormonal imbalances that had been fuelling her symptoms for decades.
Together, we built a plan that supported her body rather than suppressing it. Gradually, the flare‑ups became less intense. Her bloating reduced. Her cycles became more manageable. Her energy returned in a way she hadn’t felt since her twenties.
One day she said, “I finally feel like my body isn’t my enemy anymore.”
For the first time in 25 years, Tamara feels hopeful - and in control.
🌿 Anne, 57 - On HRT but still feeling terrible, exhausted, and unlike herself
Anne came to me frustrated and confused. At 57, she was already on HRT, yet she still felt awful - low energy, brain fog, irritability, weight changes, and a sense that her body was running on empty.
She kept thinking, “Why do I still feel like this when I’m doing everything I’m supposed to?”
Her assessment revealed the missing pieces: stress physiology running too high, nutrient depletion, gut imbalance, and a lifestyle rhythm that wasn’t supporting her hormonal therapy.
We rebuilt her foundations so her body could actually use the support HRT was giving her. We stabilised her energy, improved her sleep quality, supported her digestion, and helped her nervous system settle.
Slowly, the fog lifted. Her mood steadied. Her energy returned. She started waking up feeling human again.
Anne now says, “I finally feel like the HRT is working - because my body is working.”
🌿 Rhonda, 51 - Deep into menopause with hot flushes, mood swings, and no libido
Rhonda felt like menopause had taken over her life.
At 51, she was dealing with relentless hot flushes, unpredictable mood swings, and a libido that had completely disappeared. She felt disconnected from her body and from herself.
Her assessment showed a combination of hormonal shifts, stress dysregulation, poor sleep quality, and nutrient insufficiencies that were amplifying every symptom.
We focused on stabilising her nervous system, supporting her hormones, improving her sleep rhythm, and rebuilding her energy from the ground up.
Within a few months, her hot flushes reduced dramatically. Her mood steadied. Her spark returned - physically and emotionally. She told me, “I feel like I’ve come back to life.”
Rhonda now moves through menopause with clarity, steadiness, and confidence - not chaos.
