Mood & resilience

It isn’t only in your head, and it isn’t only your mood.

Mood changes rarely turn up alone. They usually arrive with disrupted sleep, flattened energy and digestive changes — and whichever one gets mentioned first tends to become the label for the whole thing.

I want the full sequence, because the order in which things appeared is often the most informative part of the story.

Recognise any of this?

You may be experiencing…

  • Anxiety that feels new, or newly difficult to manage
  • Low or flattened mood
  • Irritability disproportionate to the trigger
  • A racing mind, particularly at night
  • Loss of motivation or interest
  • Poor stress tolerance compared to how you used to be
  • Mood changes that track with your cycle or your energy
  • Feeling wired and exhausted at the same time

You don’t need to fit neatly into a diagnostic box to deserve a proper investigation.

Where we start

What I investigate.

  • When your mood changed, and what else changed in the same period
  • Sleep, in detail, across the same timeline
  • Digestion and appetite alongside it
  • Nutrition, eating pattern and blood-sugar stability through the day
  • Caffeine and alcohol intake and timing
  • Any relevant pathology you already have, including iron, B12 and thyroid
  • Current treatment and support, and what has helped
  • Life circumstances, workload and the things that are genuinely hard
The crucial part

Why this often gets missed.

Mood symptoms are often managed on their own, which is appropriate and frequently necessary — but it can mean that the fatigue, the sleep and the digestion sitting alongside them never get looked at together. I work alongside your existing care, not instead of it.

I investigate the whole picture, not just the loudest symptom.

What happens next

A 45-minute consultation, one to one.

Online from anywhere in Australia, or in clinic at Willow & Saige in Warrnambool. The fee is $135, the same either way. There’s nothing to prepare beyond bringing your history, any previous results you have, and your questions.

Where something in your history warrants medical investigation, I’ll tell you and refer you back to your GP. This works alongside your existing care, not instead of it.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

Can a naturopath help with anxiety?

I can look at what’s happening around it — sleep, nutrition, energy, your timeline — and build a plan from that. I’m not a mental health practitioner and I don’t replace one. If you need psychological or medical care, I’ll say so and support you getting it.

I’m on antidepressants. Should I still come?

Yes, and many people I see are. I don’t adjust prescribed medication. The rest of the picture is still worth investigating.

Do you work with my psychologist or GP?

Willingly. This works best alongside existing care rather than in competition with it.

What if I’m not coping right now?

Then please talk to your GP, or call Lifeline on 13 11 14. A naturopathic consultation is not the right first step in a crisis, and I’d rather tell you that than take the booking.

Is this done online?

Yes — telehealth anywhere in Australia, or in clinic at Warrnambool.

Ready to find out what’s really going on?

You don’t need to have all the answers before you book. That’s what the first consultation is for.
