Perimenopause & menopause
This is more than a list of symptoms to get through.
Read more →Hormonal symptoms almost never arrive singly. Cycle changes turn up with sleep changes, mood changes, weight changes and fatigue — and because each of those belongs to a different specialty, they tend to be looked at separately.
I’m interested in them together, and in the order they appeared.
You don’t need to fit neatly into a diagnostic box to deserve a proper investigation.
Hormonal symptoms are frequently investigated one at a time, with a test aimed at whichever symptom is loudest. What gets skipped is the timeline — the question of what was happening in your life when things shifted. That context isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s usually where the useful pattern is.
I investigate the whole picture, not just the loudest symptom.
Online from anywhere in Australia, or in clinic at Willow & Saige in Warrnambool. The fee is $135, the same either way. There’s nothing to prepare beyond bringing your history, any previous results you have, and your questions.
Where something in your history warrants medical investigation, I’ll tell you and refer you back to your GP. This works alongside your existing care, not instead of it.

Read more →You’re exhausted, and nobody can tell you why.
Read more →I can take a detailed history, look at your symptoms as one picture rather than several, and build a plan from what we find. I can’t promise a particular outcome, and where medical investigation or referral is appropriate, I’ll say so.
Sometimes, and timing matters enormously with hormone tests. Where testing would genuinely change the plan I’ll explain what, why and what it costs first. I won’t order tests for the sake of it.
It’s relevant and worth discussing, but it isn’t a barrier to a consultation. Bring the history of what you’ve taken and when.
That’s useful information and I take it at face value. It tells us what has been excluded, which narrows the question rather than closing it.
No. Men present with hormonal symptoms too — fatigue, mood changes, low libido, changes in body composition — and the same approach applies.
You don’t need to have all the answers before you book. That’s what the first consultation is for.
