Fatigue & exhaustion
You’re exhausted, and nobody can tell you why.
Read more →Thyroid symptoms bring a particular frustration with them: a set of complaints that fit a recognisable picture, and a result that has been reported as normal.
I’m not here to tell you the test is wrong. I’m here to look at what your existing results do and don’t account for, in the context of everything else in your history.
You don’t need to fit neatly into a diagnostic box to deserve a proper investigation.
A single in-range result is a snapshot. Several results over several years are a direction of travel, and people rarely have them all in one place — they sit across different clinics, different labs and different years. Putting them on one timeline is often the first genuinely new thing that happens.
I investigate the whole picture, not just the loudest symptom.
Online from anywhere in Australia, or in clinic at Willow & Saige in Warrnambool. The fee is $135, the same either way. There’s nothing to prepare beyond bringing your history, any previous results you have, and your questions.
Where something in your history warrants medical investigation, I’ll tell you and refer you back to your GP. This works alongside your existing care, not instead of it.
You’re exhausted, and nobody can tell you why.
Read more →The symptoms are connected. Nobody has connected them.
Read more →This is more than a list of symptoms to get through.
Read more →I can review your existing results alongside a full history and look at what they explain. I can’t diagnose a thyroid condition and I won’t claim to. Thyroid disease is medically managed, and where your picture warrants medical assessment I’ll refer you back to your GP.
That’s a common reason people come to see me. The useful step is usually to look at all your results across time and alongside everything else, rather than to relitigate one number.
Possibly, and I’ll tell you which ones would actually add something and why, so you can have that conversation with evidence rather than a printout from the internet.
Plenty of people I see are. I don’t adjust prescribed medication — that’s your doctor’s decision — but the rest of the picture is still worth investigating.
Every thyroid result you can get hold of, with dates, plus any other recent pathology. The more history, the better the timeline.
You don’t need to have all the answers before you book. That’s what the first consultation is for.
